"Fish for tomorrow by releasing your catch today"

The Meyers Lake Preserve Inc. trusts you had a good off-season and we welcome you to what we hope will be a fun and safe Meyers Lake season in 2008.

Please take note of the following information:

LAKE USE FEES (Lake use fees are established by the Meyers Lake Preserve Inc.)

Class 1 Pontoon boats and sailboats over 16 ft. $325
Class 2 All other boats with motors.
$225
Class 3 All other watercraft - this may include: $125
Canoes, kayaks, fishing boats without motors, paddleboats, sailboats under 16 ft, and wind-surfers.

All fees must be paid in person at the Fish Dock (Marina). Make checks payable to the Meyers Lake Fish Dock Inc. You will receive a revised copy of the Lake Rules and Regulations, as well as a 2008 boat sticker, which will be immediately affixed to your boat. After payment of fees and once your 2008 sticker is affixed to your boat, ramp and lake usage will be granted.

Note: The Meyers Lake Fish Dock Inc. is the legal managing agent for the Meyers Lake Preserve Inc.

The Meyers Lake Fish Dock opens Monday March 31, 2008 from 7AM to 9PM or Dusk.

Creel limits per day per fisherman:

Largemouth and smallmouth bass - CATCH AND RELEASE
Channel Catfish - 2
Sauger - 2
Walleye - 3
Bluegill - 10
Perch - 10
Crappie - 30

1. Guest fishing pass fee is $7.00 per day. There is no season guest pass for those fishing from a watercraft. All guests must be accompanied by a lake resident, associate member or by a club member.

2. Lake Property renters using a watercraft must pay the appropriate fees listed under watercraft classes. Lake Property renters without a watercraft and fishing from a dock or property must obtain a daily pass and pay a daily fee of $7.00 or obtain a seasonal pass for $60.00.

3. Vacant property fisherman must be accompanied by the property owner and pay a daily fishing fee of $7.00.

Stark County Sheriff Lake Patrol

Deputies from the Sheriff's Department will again patrol the lake during the 2008 season to ensure safety and compliance with all laws and compliance with the lake rules and regulations. Deputies will also check for compliance to creel limits and for catch and release of large and smallmouth bass. Suspension and/or termination of lake privileges may apply to anyone not obeying all lake rules and regulations.

Swimming

The Preserve and the Sportsman's Club are not responsible for swimmers or swimming safety. SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK. DO NOT SWIM AFTER DARK.

Docks, seawalls and shoreline

No docks or seawalls may be built on the lake without prior written approval of the Preserve, as well as the Meyers Lake Planning Commission. Approved seawalls must be built completely on the landowner's property. Any modification of the shoreline including dredging and/or removal of any aquatic plants are prohibited.
